Problems with Wordpress Google Sitemap Generator 2.7.1 Fatal error: Out of memory

Wordpress is an excellent CMS (content management system), the setup enables quick and easy organization of your material and overall it can’t be argued that there are many pluses to using this program.

One of the many plugins which proves essential to getting your content read and known is the Google Sitemap generator, developed by Arne Brachhold. I had been experiencing a great deal of issues as my blog grew beyond the confines of the memory allocated by the original plugin. It failed to rebuild the sitemap with each expansion and kept informing me that it was out of memory.

The talented Arne Brachold has gone a step further now, and has developed a newer, better sitemap plugin “Google XML Sitemaps” which not only improves the way your sitemap is built, but it also pings Ask.com, MSN.com, Yahoo and Google. It resolved my issues quickly and simply for me. I would advise trying it if you experience the same issues, you just have an older plugin – get the new one!
